Smithdom, A word coined by Morrissey when forming The Smiths (it was on his original shortlist of group names along with 'Smiths Family') reffering to a symbolic world separate to the rest of society inhabited by the group and their fans. Morrissey began using the phrase in interviews circa October 1983... Shortly afterwards he'd also refer to the song 'Accept Yourself' as 'the fundamental request of Smithdom'.
